Ranveer Singh recently wrapped up the shooting for Gully Boy, which also stars Alia Bhatt. In order to commemorate the moment, he posted a photo with a director Zoya Akhtar for the experience.
He shared a photograph of himself and Zoya, and called her “his bae.”
“Bae and I made for each other. I love you Zoya Akhtar. Thank you for this unique and unforgettable experience ‘Gully Boy’,” Ranveer captioned the photo.
Gully Boy is said to revolve around an underdog who rises from the slums of Mumbai to become a rapper. Ranveer’s character in the film is reportedly inspired by real-life rappers, Divine and Naezy. Gully Boy went on floors in January.
While Ranveer has worked with Zoya in the 2015 film Dil Dhadakne Do, this is Alia’s first collaboration with the filmmaker. The Dear Zindagi actress has wanted to team up with Zoya ever since she watched Luck By Chance.
Gully Boy, produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment, is set to hit the screens on February 14, 2019.
In other news, there have been wild rumours about Ranveer tying the knot with girlfriend Deepika Padukone, this year. However, the two have vehemently denied the statements.
